TransDigi in nutshell

TransDigi is a cooperation platform advancing, guiding and boosting research and development as well as investments in transport field while improving international competitivity of Finnish innovations. TransDigi connects the significant research organizations of transport, different government actors and the representatives of relevant corporate world.  

Triple-Helix – interaction between different government actors, industry and academia

The core of TransDigi platform is cooperation, ideation and communication. It brings representatives of different organizations and industries to the same table fostering cooperation and joint development. Interaction directs actions towards joint targets enhancing effects. Mutually recognized needs and targets as well as joint effort intensify cooperation between research parties.

Shared national vision on development and research in transport

Various research organizations and other actors have many ongoing national and international research and development projects. It is often difficult to form a general view on the status or even receive information concerning the projects. TransDigi focuses on the communication between projects, pilots and initiatives in order to create synergy while utilizing better the lessons and experiences learned. Cooperation helps to form a shared national vision on focus points of development and research not to mention coordinated international cooperation and communications.  

Creating national growth in transport field while incubating projects

Besides recognizing information gaps and needs TransDigi acts as a project incubator supporting many relevant national research and development activities through networking and active exchange of information. This helps to spot the information gaps and needs to complementing know-how while reducing pointless overlapping research. TransDigi supports the National Transport Growth Programme and enables the direction of EU funds to Finland.
